District Seeks LCAP Community Input

Parents and community members are cordially invited to be a part of our next Spring LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) Community Input meetings to be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Woodworth School from 6:30 – 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Highland Elementary School. We are seeking your input and ideas for our District plan for the upcoming 2016-17 school year.

The LCAP is a critical part of the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) which has increased the amount of money allocated to schools to support student achievement.

IUSD is engaging parents, educators, employees and the community to establish these plans. The plans will describe the school district’s overall vision for students, annual goals and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals as we move forward.

The LCAP must focus on eight specific areas identified as state priorities. The plans will also demonstrate how the district’s budget will help achieve the goals, and assess each year how well the strategies in the plan were able to improve outcomes. We have structured the evening so that everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to give input.

We hope that you will be able to join us. Thank you for being a part of IUSD’s bright future.
